Austin and Caitlin's wedding embraced the early colors of fall and the late rays of summer's sun. In a field located just outside their family's home a billowy structure floated above the reception area. Colors of dark ruby, eucalyptus, pale corals and gold graced the tables. When the sun set, the reception kicked into full swing under October's starry night sky. It was truly a beautiful and romantic evening!

Happy Monday! We found ourselves playing the 90's music channel on the way to a venue site this morning, giggling about how we could remember a specific place or memory with each song that came on. We had way too much fun while creating more memories!

Speaking of memories - priceless, right? A memory is defined as something remembered from the past; a recollection. They can be held in our minds, through pictures, experiences or a 90's love song. Memories are what we hold onto forever, that often make us happy and fulfilled. They are what our couples cherish after their wedding day through thoughtful, candid photos, the fast moving lens of a videographer or a verbal story from one of their guests. We encourage our couples to relish in each and every moment, enjoy the planning process and experience each celebration to its fullest.

Recently, we read snippets from a journal a bride wrote in 1955 - absolutely in awe! Capturing raw emotions through an old fashioned pen to paper, nothing more authentic than that. Coincidentally, one of our brides was gifted a journal from her aunt asking to put herself to the task of journaling every memory of her engagement; venue visits, wedding dress shopping, food tastings, engagement parties etc. Essentially it will be a gift back to yourself as you read and re-read it throughout the years giving yourself the opportunity to relive the emotions you felt during those special moments. The beauty of pen to paper is that its timeless, will never go out of style, and will be carefully handed down through the generations.

Wishing you all a memorable week! XOXO Bustle

Check out Karli and Todd's wedding feature on Grey Likes Weddings

Last May, Bustle had the pleasure of working with Karli and Todd, planning a desert wedding for the ages. Incredible dance moves and little personal details filled the room at the Parker Pam Springs. It was quite the funky fresh evening!

This wedding was geometrics and glitter galore. From beginning to end (yes, even before dinner started) the dance floor was overflowing with people.  Above everyone’s shimmies and shakes was our beloved paper gem chandelier. This piece was made with love and a lotta' caffeine!

If there is one word we heard this couple say more often than anything else, it was TUSHIES (so cute!). We surprised the couple with a little dance floor motivation, not that they needed it, to dance your tushies off! We love the little details that make each wedding special, so we try to sneak them into the design as much as possible.

The details continue, with their love of tequila and Karli’s obsession with cute lil’ pigs. I can say with some confidence, these funky fresh details only come together once in a life time. Karli and Todd’s wedding was a blast and so unique to them. #funkyfreshattheparker

Happy Monday! Fresh off the weekend, and recapping our favored eats & sips were definitely a topic of today's team meeting.

One of our most adorned parts of what we do is being able to design the wedding of our clients dreams. Drawing up details and creating moments that are special and unique to each of our couples is one of our favorite pleasures. One detail that can give your guests a piece of personality is: speciality cocktails. While guests can still be offered an open bar, featuring a speciality cocktail gives the personal statement that every wedding needs.

We are loving the new approach to wedding libations as vendors are starting to be more innovative and creative when working with clients on creating that perfect pour. Sourcing their ingredients from local & organic orchards, gardens and farms to create fresh & unique flavor combinations.

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day - the perfect day to experiment a cocktail for a date night at home. Who knows, you may end up using it for your wedding.

Cheers to you, and inspiring yourself to do something new this week!

Happy Valentine's Day - XOXO Bustle

Hi, everyone! Happy Monday to you all! We have so many exciting things coming up. Starting today, the Bustle blog will be posting a lot more regularly with fun and interactive content. This is major happiness for us, because the Bustle team is continuing to expand.

We wanted to start this week off with wedding etiquette. As the wedding season is making its way through, a lot of our brides are currently in the phase of paper design and collaborating with their favorite paper vendor. We have the absolute pleasure of working with so many fantastic paper designers -  one in particular, Alexandra Rinde, she is the owner of Aerialist Press. Her team put together a fantastic tool to help our brides and grooms make easy decisions about their wedding suites.

"Happy Engagement season! Alexandra from Aerialist Press & Foiled Invitations here. A big thank you to the Bustle Events team for having us guest post with them today.

You’ve found your dream venue, and planning is in full effect! Bustle Events is readily starting to form your dream team of vendors and the to-dos seem to be quickly checked off. As the time line starts to narrow down a little further, lots of detailed questions start to pop up. We can probably guess what one is! How to word my wedding invitation? Did we guess it? No worries, we’ve all been there and will happily help you decide.

Our creative team of paper designers and etiquette aficionados simplified the process by producing an info-graphic and guide to help aide you and your fiancé in selecting the appropriate wording that best fits your wedding yet stays on par with all the fancy etiquette rules. We also listed a helpful set of tips and tricks to shine a little light on what the different attire options are, and the best way to send out your wedding invitations.

Looking for even more? We created a full list of 21 wording examples for every celebration style you can imagine. You can take a peek at the mega post up on http://blog.theaerialistpress.com/21-best-wedding-invitation-wording-ideas/”>the Aerialist blog. We are also happy to answer any other questions you might have in the comments!"

Thank you for reading today! We hope your Monday is a great first day of an amazing week!

We can't believe this year has ended so quickly. The year of 2016 brought us amazing clients who have become friends, major inspirational wedding designs, and the most epic parties ever! We were blessed to be featured again on multiple major wedding blogs over the months, crafted our buns off, and consumed endless amounts of caffeine but it was all worth it for the beauty and happiness that resulted.

Other big things that happened was that Erin started her own luxury beach towel company called Beach Bum Towel Co. If you haven't gotten one yet, you're missing out! Makes for the perfect gift and excuse to splurge for yourself.

Marina made the big jump across the Pacific and moved to Hawaii! We're thrilled to have expanded as she'll now be doing events both in the islands and back in California. She started a rental company there called Roam Rentals, which has taken off with the demand for boho and mid-century modern designed furniture and décor.

Enjoy a look back at some of our all time faves from this past year. SO good people!

There's no telling what 2017 is going to be bring, but we've already begun booking some crazy awesome clients. Cheers darlings!

XOXO,

It seemed like a long time coming, but it is finally here! Winter has arrived and we couldn't be more excited. There is something so comforting about the fall season that makes you want to warm up next to the fire with your sweetie and drink hot apple cider.

That is exactly what we had in mind for the upcoming season. We wanted to share some of our favorite ways to keep warm and cozy at a beautifully brisk wedding. Hope these fun ideas get you feeling warm and fuzzy!

roasting marshmallows and sparklers http://www.weddingchicks.com/2013/11/25/national-park-wedding/:

As we all can imagine what better way to stay toasty than a nice crackling fire, with smores to boot! For your marshmallow roasting tools, take a little wander through the woods and forage for some quality mallow roasting sticks. Since we're all about the details, don't forget to wrap some string around the bottom to act as an accented cohesive handle and a nice pop of color.

DIY marshmallow sticks for the wedding reception/bonfire. The colours could be customized for any pallet.:

Always have to have some cozy blankets and pillows to keep guests warm; which is also a great opportunity to add some fun patterns and textures to the wedding design.
Check out the fun DIY for hand warmers too, such a cute little detail that guest will definitely appreciate.

Last but not least, creating a signature cocktail is always a fun way to express the bride and groom's personalities, but try cranking up the heat with some signature hot toddies using seasonal flavors instead.

2016's color selection may be my most favorite yet! In case you missed the big announcement, here it is! Rose Quartz and Serentity... Swoon! Totally reminds me of cotton candy sunsets and it's such a universal wedding palette. Desert Palm Springs wedding? Duh! Napa, Wine Country Wedding? Yes! Coastal beach wedding? Obviously!

Can't wait to see if any of our brides jump on the Pantone train this year, we'd love to make some Rose Quartz and Serenity Magic with you!

We've noticed a new trend of floral bridesmaids dresses this year and we hope it sticks around for next wedding season. Love it with all the gals in the same print but different cuts, or mixing things up with different prints and shapes. It's a nice change from the standard convertible bridesmaids dresses, because honestly, who wants to spend 30 minutes trying to wrap and tie their dress? Plus, we just have a crush on floral anything so this trend is a no-brainer!

In case you missed it, here's a recap of one of our favorite weddings this year that was featured on Green Wedding Shoes last week. Emma and Dan are seriously the sweetest couple and we had a blast from the start with them. With some unexpected pink tapered candles, and rad dance floor decal, this wedding was everything that Bustle Events is all about. Shotgun Floral killed it with the flowers as usual and we couldn't have been happier with how our design came to life.

Today we're sharing even more breathtaking photos from our Joshua Tree Desert styled shoot. 100 Layer Cake recently featured it here. Be sure to watch the video, it's one of my faves!

This shoot was so much fun to plan. Working with rich marsala and turquoise colors was a nice refreshing change from the typical pastels and gold seen in most weddings. Our models were a dream to work with! So much chemistry... the desert is already hot, but they made it smokin'!

The design for this shoot would be perfect for any Fall or Winter wedding, and really any time of year in Southern California. We loved using the hint of cultural inspiration with the native american ojo de dios and the brides shawl (it's actually a table runner!). Kristine Ann wrote out a really sweet Indian prayer that could have been used during a ceremony for vows.

Our creative juices were overflowing with this styled shoot. Amanda from Thorne Artistry created not one, but three looks! How sexy are those bikini shots?

I'm already itching to get back to the desert for our next Palm Springs wedding this October. There's just nothing like that beautiful desert landscape!

We know that planning a wedding comes with a bajillion other events as well. There's an engagement party, bridal shower or two, bachelorette party, bachelor party, welcome dinner, rehearsal dinner, wedding, and even a possible post wedding brunch and more! With the best intentions to attend everything for your favorite couple it can be easy to RSVP yes to it all, even when deep down that real chance is less than 10% you'll actually show up. Pure Wow came up with fun list of things we're all guilty of when it comes to RSVP's. Give your hosts some peace of mind by being honest with yourself and others if you'll really show your pretty face to the next event you're invited to.

8 RSVP Mistakes You Need to Stop Making

SAYING YOU'LL BE THERE WHEN, REALLY, THERE'S A 9 PERCENT CHANCE

Also known as the aspirational RSVP. Sure, you earned points for the fastest reply time (and, come on, general enthusiasm), but speed doesn’t count if you bail.
8 RSVP Mistakes You Need to Stop Making

RSVP'ING WITHOUT A GUEST, AND THEN ARRIVING WITH YOUR FUSSY 2-YEAR-OLD

“Kids don’t impact the head count,” you say. Maybe not, but an uninvited crying toddler sure does impact the fun. Bottom line: Give the hostess a heads-up, mmkay?
8 RSVP Mistakes You Need to Stop Making

VOLUNTEERING TO BRING THE DIP, AND THEN SHOWING UP WITH DESSERT

Look, the person who brought the chips was counting on you, and now everyone has to eat naked Tostitos. Hope you’re happy.
8 RSVP Mistakes You Need to Stop Making

OR WORSE, EMPTY-HANDED

You’re a grown-ass woman. At least bring a bottle of wine.
8 RSVP Mistakes You Need to Stop Making

OR MUCH, MUCH WORSE, WITH FOOD THAT STILL NEEDS TO BE PREPARED

Too many cooks + the kitchen = RSVP fail.
8 RSVP Mistakes You Need to Stop Making

REPLYING ALL WITH A LIST OF REASONS YOU'LL BE LATE

We get it, Ms. Popular. You’re double-booked. No need to rub our faces in it.
8 RSVP Mistakes You Need to Stop Making

OR REPLYING ALL WITH A LIST OF SPECIAL REQUESTS

OK, so you’re avoiding carbs this month. Eat around them.
8 RSVP Mistakes You Need to Stop Making

RSVP'ING YES, THEN TEXTING TO CHANGE IT TO MAYBE, THEN NO--THEN OH WAIT, WE'RE BACK TO YES AGAIN

Ah, the weekend waffler. You know who you are.

Looking for somewhere to escape over the summer and enjoy some hot desert sun? We're big fans of the Westin Lake Las Vegas and we know you'll love it as much as we do. We recently had the chance for a mini getaway there and didn't want to come home! The views are gorgeous, the spa a delight, and of course we spent the majority of the day poolside with a cocktail in hand. Can't beat that! Be sure keep this place in mind for you next vacation.

But even better is this amazing hotel as a wedding venue. The ceremony space overlooks this beautiful lake. The hotel offers many different spaces for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. With so many options you can really make your wedding fit your own guest count and style. When I toured the property my creative mind went wild with ideas.

Lastly, they have a killer spa on property where I indulged in a little me time and enjoyed an amazing massage. I think it was one of the best I've ever had. The spa is a great amenity to offer your guests.

If you are thinking of a desert wedding the Westin Lake Las Vegas is full of awesome options.

With things heating up this summer, we're in the mood for a good time outside like when we did the Glitter Guide's 3 year anniversary party last year. Florist Natalie Bowen has the perfect patio in the back of her home studio that made for the sweetest location. We had a blast throughout the planning process working with some of our favorite vendors and close friends on this one! From the custom runner created just for Glitter Guide by Lulu & Georgia to the crazy good cocktails from Paula le Duc, we were in heaven! Wish we could hang out with such fun ladies and party the night away every weekend! Be sure to check out more details and photos on the Glitter Guide's page here.

To celebrate our expansion of Bustle Events to Southern California, we wanted to embrace the tropical and sunny lifestyle we’re surrounded with here in San Diego.  By taking bits and pieces from surf culture, tropical travel destinations, and an aloha state of mind; we were able to curate a very fun and non-traditional wedding design.

The shoot felt like you could be in the middle of the pacific, tucked away for an evening surrounded by palms and the sound of the ocean nearby. Florals were perfectly wild, just-picked, lush, and bohemian feeling by Bloom Babes. Paper details by Underwood Letterpress incorporated fun quotes about the sea and tropical living with bold black and white graphics. Details on the table by Classic Party Rentals were colorful and more modern while keeping the overall look fresh.

As soon as I started collecting inspiration for this shoot, I knew Pow Wow Vintage Rentals had to be included. Their peacock chairs, Moroccan furniture, and amazing collection of pillows were the perfect touch of boho and tropics we needed to pull the look together. I knew doing a traditional wedding cake just wouldn’t do, so Viva Pops created some custom paletas as a dessert alternative. Plus, when thinking about the tropics, a popsicle just makes more sense! She has so many fun and tasty flavor combinations. Cocktails were provided by Waters Catering. We came up with the name La Pina Loca aka the crazy pineapple. A mix of guava and thai pepper infused 10 Cane Rum, fresh passion fruit, lime juice, agave nectar, pina colada foam, garnished with prickly pear and edible flowers created a drink that could have only been imagined in our dreams!

The inspiration for our model was based off the same free-flowy, wild, and exotic tropical look. Thorne Artistry embraced Kristina’s natural beauty and added a bold lip color to show off her stunning features. A breezy less traditional, but beautiful dress was provided by Elle Bridal Boutique. To finish the look, Mimi & Lu’s jewelry was the perfect touch for adding some playful neon accents. See more of this on Green Wedding Shoes here!

With the warm weather right around the corner, we're craving a bit of Palm Springs and remembering this gorgeous wedding we did a while back. We love working in the desert heat when we get to have this much fun! Meg's dress, her pup, and the subtle hints of sparkle were some of our favorite aspects of the day. The overall design was mostly classic and romantic, but with the added geometric details, the day felt modern and fresh. Meg and Scott were so much fun to get to know and make their wedding dreams come to life. We can't believe it's been two years already since this beautiful wedding happened!
